Share the Fun: "Magic Burst 4th Draft"

Here's a nifty magic girl game that Ewen Cluney has been working on for a while, Magic Burst. It's still a draft, but a very complete one.

In this post ChicagoWiz using an exodus as part of a sandbox campaign. I'm going to have to file this idea away for later.

Sharing the Fun: "The Worst Adventure Ever: Making it Work"

An interesting post about running the Avatar Trilogy which I think can be applied in principle to similar adventures.

Charlie Brooks has been a good friend to me for over twenty years, and he ran my first few D&D games. I'm slightly surprised that I haven't linked to his site sooner. I also want to point out that Garyl Shadowslayer is one of my favorite NPCs, though I didn't get to participate in that particular campaign.

Sharing the Fun: "Meditating on Monks"

An interesting post on Monks from Blood of Prokopius, an exceptionally interesting blog that looks at roleplaying games through a religious lens.

I never had an issue with using Monks with their eastern flavor in my western-style fantasy setting, so I enjoy seeing someone agree with me.

Sharing the Fun: "The Acererak Caper"

There is an excellent post at The Society of Torch, Pole and Rope about running a sandbox campaign focused around preparing to take on The Tomb of Horrors.

The Tomb of Horrors is one of the few modules I own (unless you count my collection of Dungeon magazines), and I rather like this idea. I wonder if I could pull together some people to play this at some point.
